F&A Website Security Statement
F&A Federal Credit Union has established secure on-line applications, forms and banking solutions by enlisting the services of GoDaddy, the leading provider of Internet security systems. To deliver the world's highest level of security, GoDaddy certified our institution for use of 128-bit SSL encryption technology. This protects confidential information - such as account numbers, online forms, and financial data - from interception and hacking. With GoDaddy's secure site solutions, we are confident that you are receiving the same high level of security used by all of the Top 40 sites and Fortune 500 companies worldwide.
Online Banking
Our Online Banking solution, uses state-of-the-art security features to ensure you have confidential access to your accounts and allows for a secure and private communication link between you and F&A. (See Online Banking Messaging below.) Online Banking allows only browsers that support Secure Socket Layers (SSL). We require that you use a browser with 128-bit encryption. The SSL ensures that electronic data communicated between your browser and the Online Banking screens cannot be read by third parties, even if the data is intercepted.
To log on to Online Banking, you will be required to enter your Personal Identification Number (PIN) to verify your identity. However, before you gain access to your account information, Online Banking will implement our enhanced security login. Another precaution we have taken is that your session will end if you do not have contact with the site for a specified period of time.
Finally, in order to control incoming and outgoing information, Online Banking uses a state of the art firewall to prevent invasive data from unauthorized sources from entering our systems. The firewall also ensures that only authorized data leaves the systems.
Online Banking Messaging vs. Personal Email
The F&A Website provides addresses that allow you to communicate with us through the convenience of email. Unfortunately, there is currently no widely accepted method of encrypting email originating directly from our website. Because of this, we advise you not to include any confidential information in your personal email correspondence. This includes Social Security numbers, account numbers, PIN numbers, passwords, etc.
