Helping Those in Need
Many people want to help following a disaster of this magnitude. To provide the most meaningful assistance, don’t self-deploy to disaster areas. Trusted Organizations in the affected areas know where volunteers are needed most. Work with an established organization to make sure you have the appropriate safety, training and skills needed to respond. And, if you want to donate money, make sure you know the organizer of the fundraiser and be careful of scammers who will try to trick you into donating online, on social media or via text message.
